Servanthood — Terms of Service
PLEASE READ THESE TERMS OF SERVICE ("TERMS") CAREFULLY BEFORE ACCESSING OR USING SERVANTHOOD.
1. Acceptance; who may use the Service
By checking the acceptance box and creating an account, you represent and warrant that:
- you are 18 years of age or older;
- you are a musician or music professional located in the United States and permitted to work in the United States;
- you understand that interactions with other users occur off the Service and at your own risk — the Service does not provide messaging between users and does not process or deliver payments between users;
- you consent to be bound by these Terms as accepted by you, and by updated versions upon your explicit acceptance of each update presented to you in the Service.
If you do not agree, do not create an account or use the Service.
2. The Service
Servanthood (the "Service"), owned and operated by Servanthood, Corp. (the "Company," "we," "us"), is a United States—only platform on which musicians and music professionals publish profiles and find one another by skill and approximate geographic location. The Service is a discovery tool: it does not facilitate communications between users, does not process payments between users, does not book performances, and is not an employment agency or talent agency. Contact between users happens off the Service, using contact methods a user has chosen to display, entirely at the users' own risk and discretion.
Beta status. The Service is presently offered in a beta period. Features may change, availability may be interrupted, and errors may occur.
3. Accounts and registration
Account creation requires a permanent email address, a password (or a supported sign-in provider), completion of human-verification measures, acceptance of these Terms and the Privacy Policy, and — during the beta period — a valid invite code. You agree to provide accurate information, to maintain the security of your credentials, and to notify us of unauthorized use. Accounts are personal and non-transferable. One account per person.
4. Profiles and your content
You control what your profile displays. Fields you leave blank simply do not appear and do not surface you in the corresponding searches. You represent that content you post (including your profile photo and any descriptive text) is yours to post, is accurate, and complies with Section 7. You grant the Company a non-exclusive license to host, display, and distribute your content solely to operate the Service.
5. Memberships
The Service offers a free account and an Active Membership (currently $20 per month), which adds a supporter badge and priority placement in location-based result ordering. Pricing is displayed in the Service and may change prospectively with notice.
6. Community standards and enforcement
We maintain standards so the Service remains useful and safe. You agree not to post or do the following: harassment or threats; impersonation; content that is unlawful, infringing, or deceptive; sexual or obscene content; content involving or targeting minors in any form; spam, scraping, or automated account creation; interference with the Service's operation.
How enforcement works — our commitment: every enforcement decision on the Service is made by a human being reviewing the specific case. Nothing on Servanthood is automatically sanctioned by report counts, algorithms, or scores. On review, we may at our discretion hold a profile from publication, suspend an account, remove content, or terminate an account for violations of these Terms. Where a profile is held, the account holder may submit a republish request through the Service, which a human reviews; account deletion includes a 30-day recovery window. You agree that we may take these actions and that we are not obligated to disclose internal review details; all Service communications come from the Servanthood team rather than named individuals.
7. Prohibited data extraction
You may not scrape, harvest, bulk-download, systematically copy, or compile — by automated means or by manual transcription — the Service's data, including user profiles and contact information, and including the Service's curated location vocabulary (areas, roads, directional bearings) and any map or geometry data. You may not use Service data to build or train a competing product or dataset.
8. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, S.I.D.E. location system, curated vocabularies, and the SERVANTHOOD mark (a registered trademark), is owned by the Company. You receive a revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for its intended personal purpose. Map data on the Service includes information derived from OpenStreetMap, © OpenStreetMap contributors.
9. Copyright complaints
10. Communications
By creating an account you consent to receive Service emails (verification, security, and decisions affecting your account) and product/beta communications, from which you may opt out where the law allows. All Service email comes from the servanthood.us domain.
11. Disclaimers; limitation of liability; indemnification
12. General terms
Governing law, venue, severability, assignment, entire agreement, electronic-communications consent — carried over from the original EULA.
